Phase-I Sports

100 MTRS RUN

Competitors line up in lanes down the 100m straight of a standard 400m oval. Participants start in blocks. Running outside of your pre-designated lane can lead to disqualification.

4 X 100 MTRS RELAY

Four sprinters, in the same designated lane, each run 100m to complete a lap of the track. During their individual legs they have to carry a baton that must be passed to the next runner within a 20-metre changeover box that's situated 10 metre before and 10 metres after the start of each subsequent leg.

200 MTRS RUN

200 meters is a distance measurement that equals to 656 feet and 2.361 inches. It is approximately two-thirds of the length of a standard running track and commonly used in track and field events such as the 200-meter sprint.

400 MTRS RUN

The 400 meters is a sprint event in track and field athletics. The event involves running one full lap around a standard outdoor track, starting and finishing at the same point.The runners typically start in staggered lanes to ensure that each athlete covers the same distance, with those starting on the outside lanes running a slightly longer distance.

4 X 400 MTRS RELAY

The 4 x 400 meters relay is a track and field event where a team of four runners each runs one lap of a 400-meter track. The baton is passed from one runner to the next in a designated zone. The team with the fastest combined time is the winner.

800 MTRS RUN

The 800 meter run is a highly competitive and challenging middle-distance race where athletes need to finish two full laps around a 400-meter track, covering 800 meters.The first lap of the race is run at a fast pace, and the second lap is where the race is often won or lost.

1500 MTRS RUN

The 1500 meters run is a track and field event that is classified as a middle-distance race.It takes place on a standard 400-meter track and consists of running approximately one mile. Runners complete roughly three and three-quarter laps around the track, with each lap being 400 meters long.

5000 MTRS RUN

The 5000 meters run is a track and field event that is classified as a middle-distance race.It takes place on a standard 400-meter track and consists of running approximately one mile. Runners complete roughly twelve and half laps around the track, with each lap being 400 meters long.

10000 MTRS RUN

The 10000 meters (also known as the 10,000 meters or 10K) is a long-distance track event in athletics. It is a race of approximately 10 kilometers or 6.2 miles, equivalent to 25 laps of a standard 400-meter track.The runners start from the starting line and take off at a fast pace. The race often begins with a pack of runners running together.

110 MTRS HURDLES

The 110 meters hurdles is a track and field event where runners race over a distance of 110 meters with ten hurdles placed at 9.14 meters intervals along the track.The winner is the first to cross the finish line while successfully clearing each hurdle.

SHOT PUT

Shot put is a track and field sport that involves throwing a heavy metal ball known as a shot as far as possible. The objective of the sport is to launch the shot as far as possible, with the winner being the athlete who throws the shot farthest. The athlete stands inside a circle, with a diameter of 2.135 meters, and throws the shot after a preliminary spin.

DISCUSS THROW

The discus throw is another track and field sport in which athletes throw a heavy discus as far as possible. The objective of the sport is to throw the discus the farthest distance, with the winner being the athlete who throws the discus farthest.During a discus throw competition, the athlete stands inside a circle with a diameter of 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) and prepares to throw the discus after a preliminary spin.

JAVELIN THROW

Javelin throw is a track and field sport where athletes throw a spear-like object called the javelin as far as possible. Athletes run down a runway to launch the javelin.The athlete holds the javelin at its grip, with the tip pointed towards the sky, and throws it with a quick over-the-shoulder motion to release the javelin.

HAMMER THROW

Hammer throw is a track and field sport in which athletes throw a heavy metal ball attached to a wire or grip called a hammer. The objective is to throw the hammer as far as possible. The winner of a hammer throw competition is the athlete who throws the hammer the farthest distance.

HIGH JUMP

High jump is a track and field sport in which athletes jump over a horizontal bar placed at a certain height without knocking it down. The objective is to jump higher than all other competitors and set a new height or distance record.

LONG JUMP

Long jump is a track and field sport in which athletes run down a runway and jump as far as possible into a sandpit. The objective is to jump farther than all the other competitors.During a long jump competition, the athlete begins by running down a runway, building up speed, and then jumping off a take-off board, landing in a sandpit.

TRIPLE JUMP

Triple jump is a track and field event that requires athletes to hop, skip, and jump as far as possible. The goal is to cover the greatest distance from the starting line to the landing area.During a triple jump competition, the athlete starts by running down the track and then makes a hop, a skip, and a jump in one continuous sequence.

Phase-II Sports

BADMINTON

Badminton is a sport that involves using a racquet to hit a shuttlecock between two or four players over a high net. The objective is to score points by hitting the shuttlecock in a way that the opponent cannot return it. The game is played in sets, with the first player or team to reach 21 points winning the set. A match usually consists of three sets.

TABLE TENNIS

Table tennis is a sport where players hit a lightweight ball back and forth over a table divided by a net. It can be played individually or in teams of two, and the objective is to score points by hitting the ball so that the opponent is unable to return it. Players use small, lightweight paddles and a small, hollow ball.

CARROMS

Carroms is a board game played by 2 or more players using a square board with a pocket in each corner and a circular piece in the center. Players aim to hit the play pieces or coins into the pockets using a striker. The winner is the one who scores the most points by hitting the coins into the pockets with the striker.

CHESS

Chess is a strategic game played by two players on a 64 square board. Each player has 16 pieces, including a king, a queen, two knights, two rooks, two bishops, and eight pawns. Players try to capture the opponent's king while protecting their own. The game requires moving pieces in unique ways, and strategic positioning is critical. Players take turns moving their pieces, competing at different levels of difficulty in tournaments.

BRIDGE

Bridge is a card game for four players, played in two partnerships. The game is played with a deck of 52 cards and involves a bidding system to determine the contract, which sets the trump suit and the number of tricks the partnership must win. The objective is to win tricks, with points earned for winning tricks and fulfilling the contract.
